Our Medtronic organization in the Netherlands employs over 3000 employees of 49 nationalities in five facilities. The European Operating Centre located in Heerlen houses a team of 120 Supply Chain professionals which is accountable for Supply Chain Management for the entire Medtronic product portfolio containing over 80,000 active products. From here we serve our customers in over 120+ countries in Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Each Supply Chain Analyst contributes to the Medtronic Mission by guaranteeing constant product supply in balance with the demand. You play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive our life-changing therapies on time. You closely cooperate within a matrix environment with stakeholders from demand planning, inventory management, logistics, marketing/sales, and other global and local departments. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you contribute to the promise of making a real difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution
- Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers
- Plans and analyzes activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain with 1 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in an international environment
- Analytical and technical skills (MS-Office), you can analyze raw data and translate into concrete actions and reports
- Excellent command of the English language
- Understanding of End-to-End Supply Chain Processes including KPI’s
- You are adaptive to change and can prioritize within multiple day-to-day activities and projects you are able to give operational support combined with continuous improvement mindset and drive these changes
