Cloud Engineer

The Opportunity:

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply advanced skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with Cloud engineering

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining systems in an enterprise-scale secure environment

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services in a secure enterprise environment

• Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or PowerShell

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as YAML, Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK

• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines supporting build, test, deployment, and sustainment activities

• Experience supporting RMF, ATO, cATO, continuous monitoring, STIG implementation, IL4 and IL5 authorization, or vulnerability remediation in a DoD or regulated environment

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ DoD 8140 certification within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with OCI or GCP

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm

• Experience with GitOps or pipeline tools, such as Argo CD, Flux, Jenkins, GitLab, Platform One, Party Bus, or Iron Bank

• Experience with observability or platform monitoring tools, such as Grafana, Elastic, or Cloud-native monitoring services

• Experience supporting hybrid cloud, OCONUS, or deployed environments, such as NIPR, SIPR, or Tactical Edge

• Experience supporting Army, joint, or coalition mission systems

• TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
