For Linklaters Warsaw, we are currently recruiting for the Financial Analyst (Executive Finance) role.
About the Team
The Executive Finance team provides critical financial insight and analysis to senior stakeholders, including the CFO and the Firmwide Managing Partner, supporting strategic and operational decision‑making. There is wide scope to this role with a significant “ad hoc” element, reflecting the dynamic nature of executive level requests, in addition to the regular reporting and analysis.
You will be responsible for:
Providing financial support to senior stakeholders and acting as a point of contact for financial queries. Providing monthly KPIs and supporting commentary on drivers for profitability.
Preparing various pieces of financial analysis to support strategic decision making across the firm including historical trend analysis and modelling future potential performance.
Analysing performance against agreed targets, monitoring trends and highlighting issues. Developing options for and implementing solutions to improve financial performance.
Dealing with ad hoc queries from the CFO, the Firmwide Managing Partner, Partners, Business Managers, Marketing, HR, and other teams.
Working with Business Managers, Partners, HR, and other support teams as part of the business planning and annual budgeting exercises including updating the moderation dashboard for leadership.
Preparing presentations and data for ExCom/Partner Monthly Forum/Global Townhalls as well as sector and client financial reporting to support Business Development & Marketing.
Growing commercial awareness of the firm, external competitor benchmarking data, and a strong financial understanding to provide useful insight and advice to Business Managers, Partners and other stakeholders.
Apply if you:
Graduated with a university degree in finance or professional accounting course.
Have min. 3-5 years of experience working in the legal sector or a professional services firm preferred (but other sectors will be considered).
Are fluent in English.
Have experience with analysing financial data and reporting on financial performance including analysing past performance/variance analysis and forecasting/future projections.
Are highly numerate, confident, and able to communicate effectively with senior management.
Are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using and building dashboards in Tableau (or willingness to learn) is a plus.
