Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position.  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for assessing first line business processes and controls.
  • Executing testing responsibilities in accordance with the established methodology to:
    • Assess operational business processes for compliance with policies, procedures, standards and applicable laws and regulations.
    • Drive reviews with some oversight and assistance.
  • Ability to professionally interact, negotiate, and/or lead meetings; discuss review process, testing results, findings/issues, and recommendations for improvement (kick-off meetings, documentation requests, defect validation, closing meetings)

How You’ll Do It

  • Collaborate with various level of management within the areas of responsibilities, including the risk
  • Manage activities of Compliance Testing staff (direct/indirect) and is responsible for the overall Create and maintain testing workpapers and supporting documentation. Draft written reports
  • Monitor and validate status of corrective actions taken by business partners to remediate
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

  • Bachelor’s in business administration management, Finance, Law or related field.
  • In Lieu of Education Experience 8+years’ experience in Compliance, Financial Services, Risk, BSA/AML or Related including Testing, Quality Assurance or Audit

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 4+ years of experience in Compliance, Financial Services, Risk, BSA/AML or Related
  • 4+ years’ experience with Models, champions, and reinforces a risk culture of compliance and effective communication (written and verbal)
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
