Job Description

Perform inspection of materials received from suppliers using drawings, diagrams, specifications, and established quality standards. Use measuring equipment to ensure compliance with required specifications.

Your Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials according to the corresponding drawings and diagrams.
  • Notify the supervisor of any non-conformities detected during inspection.
  • Support activities related to returning non-conforming materials to the supplier.
  • Participate in the evaluation or qualification of first articles (PPAP).
  • Conduct sorting in the storage area when non-conforming materials are identified at any stage of the process.
  • Record scrap transactions and material releases in the SAP system to maintain an updated inventory.
  • Comply with safety, hygiene, and environmental goals, contributing to emergency response teams or improvement groups.
  • Interpret material specifications in the SAP system to verify required characteristics.
  • Take part in updating inspection techniques and improving processes.
  • And control of the area assigned for incoming inspection and non-conforming materials.
  • Support the rework of non-conforming materials after evaluation by the MRB team.
  • Help create non-conforming material reports (SQN) and corrective actions assigned to the Planning and Supplier Quality Engineering departments.
  • Education: Secondary education or equivalent, with technical training or higher education.
  • Experience: 1 year in quality inspection or a similar role.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • SAP system.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • AQL sampling techniques.
  • Handle measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Understanding of measurement units (imperial vs metric system).
  • Proactiveness and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Organization and updating of inspection records in digital systems.

Coordination with engineering, purchasing, and production departments to ensure material quality.
