Title and Summary

Senior Software Engineer in Test

The Mastercard Consumer Data Management (CDM) program are on a mission to evolve our services and drive adoption of our products. Our products are internally consumed capabilities that provide secure handling of Consumer PII/PCI data, Consumer Consent data, Consumer Messaging services ( SMS, Email and WebPush) and provision of Email Connect support for Mastercard products. These API services meet the stringent needs of regulatory requirements and are the foundation for Mastercard's product and service offerings globally.

The Mastercard Consumer Data Management team in Dublin is looking for Senior Software Engineer to drive our consumer data management experience strategy forward through innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious and has a passion for problem solving.

Role:
This role involves working with a team of talented and experienced developers to develop high performance, low latency, highly scalable Java based services. In this role, you will be involved in:

• Assisting with the design and implementation of innovative and resilient Java based capabilities to enhance the Consumer Data Management service offerings.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Technical leads and other developers to define features and user stories that materially impact the business and improve the consumer experience.
• Working as part of a co-located Agile SCRUM team to meet delivery dates.
• Analysis of customer issues and recommending solutions.
• Research alternative technical solutions to meet changing business needs.
• Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software


Skills:

• Excellent hands-on test automaton skills in Java with experience in unit, functional and integration testing.
• Expert in full stack software development test approaches & frameworks: TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Spock, Groovy, Cypress.
• Experienced in Java and micro-service development.
• Knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Exposure to both SQL and NoSQL persistence technologies, e.g. MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres.
• Knowledge of software development test approaches & frameworks: BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Spock, Postman.
• Command of CI/CD principles and tools such as Maven, Jenkins.
• Experience working with cloud hosting technologies such as PCF, Azure.
• Exposure to monitoring solutions such as Splunk, Dynatrace an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Show initiative and demonstrates a willingness to take on challenging opportunities.
• Highly motivated and interested in being part of a high performance team environment.


Education
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
