Leidos, seeks a qualified and dynamic Electric Vehicle Project Manager who will provide support as a part of our successful Energy Efficiency program team in MA, RI, & IL. This position offers a unique career opportunity with the successful electric vehicle and energy efficiency programs that Leidos delivers.

Ideal candidate lives within one of the following states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Illinois. This is not a requirement, rather, it is strongly encouraged.

Travel Requirements: This position is primarily remote with required travel for site visits (25% of the time).

Primary Responsibilities

The Electric Vehicle (EV) Project Manager will oversee and drive the implementation and success of the organization’s electric vehicle initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with an understanding of electric vehicle technology, program management, and cross-functional collaboration to manage projects from concept through execution. The EV Project Manager will support EV projects and programs. The EV Project Manager may be asked to support other programs including the Industrial Initiative, New Construction, and Carbon Free Assessment Schools Program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle for electric vehicle programs, from initial concept through to deployment and market integration

  • Track and report on project milestones, timelines, and budget adherence, ensuring timely delivery within allocated resources

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals

  • Engage with Municipal Stakeholders on the deployment of the EV programs for municipalities

  • Support all project-related queries, providing status updates, managing expectations, and facilitating stakeholder decision-making

  • Develop and maintain expertise in electric vehicle technologies, market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging innovations

  • Provide technical input and guidance to internal teams regarding EV technology, infrastructure needs, and sustainable solutions

  • Support special projects that may include programs that involve the WELL Building Standard, assessing renewable energy, battery storage and EV infrastructure opportunities in the commercial and public building space

  • Work with the Leidos team in the development of “electrification” programs and trade ally partner outreach

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires Degree in Business or Environmental Sciences and one plus (1+) years of prior relevant experience in environmental sciences, sustainability, utility efficiency programs and project management

  • The ability and desire to be: productive, accurate, and organized

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and statistical knowledge and skills using Excel

  • Ability to be self-starting—demonstrate initiative---including the ability to collaborate well in a supportive team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Programs and/or an understanding of energy efficiency or EV programs

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
