OPPORTUNITY AND ROLE 

Reporting to the SVP of TM1 Product, The VP of TM1 Events & Experience, will lead the company’s long term TM1 Event Management product strategy. This leader will be responsible for the product development and ownership of the Event, Offers, Experience, Identity, and Entitlements for the Company’s industry leading B2B product platform, TM1. They will develop the long-term strategy for the product area, be responsible for its growth, adoption, and expansion of capabilities. This highly visible role has extensive contact with other product, engineering and business partners.

THE JOB

As the VP, Product for TM1 Events & Experience, you’ll be responsible for leading an organization that develops and optimizes B2B products for the largest live event marketplace in the world. While inspiring and leading a team of world class product managers to drive the launch, rollout and development of our modern TM1 Events & Experience platform you’ll also engage fans to purchase tickets through our TM1 platform for the experience of a lifetime whilst maximizing revenues for Ticketmaster and our clients – all whilst ensuring that Ticketmaster continues to lead as an innovator in the global live entertainment industry and maintaining the highest levels of service for our clients and fans.

Ticketmaster has a commanding global presence, operating in 32 countries and attracting 1B annual digital visitors globally. It’s key that we can showcase our breadth of content to fans, merchandise world tours and satiate the desire for die-hard fans to follow their favorite artist or team anywhere in the world.

As a leader in our organization you will be accountable for managing products, and product leaders, across our b2b Events, experience, identity and domains that are at the heart of the TM1 product suite.

While it is our products that drive the future of live entertainment, it is our people that make that vision a reality and beyond managing a global portfolio, you will build and mentor a high performing product team.  You will continuously focus on the people and create a culture characterized by a growth mindset, deep curiosity, collaboration and tenacity in support of insights-driven product development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop, lead, and evangelize the product vision and strategy for the company’s TM1 platform.
  • Manage and develop a team of product managers within a consistent, high performing culture of  product development. 
  • Lead and define the development of the long-term product roadmap. 
  • Work with product managers to prioritize, conceptualize, and program product development and  enhancement, including the identification of key deliverables, SLAs and KPIs for all products.
  • Collaborate and partner with industry vertical leaders (Pro Sports, Arts & Theatre, Festivals, Venues, and  Promoters) and all global regions to identify product needs and opportunities and prioritize them into  the roadmap. 
  • Prioritize and deliver business requirements across programs and initiatives and balance value vs.  complexity. 
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive communications to convey product vision and how it aligns with  enterprise strategy. 
  • Support Ticketmaster’s domain driven design principles globally across various systems and  marketplaces. 
  • Drive standards and accountability and foster a community of data-informed decision-making. 
  • Leading an organization responsible for the entire product life cycle: - shaping the strategies, identifying priorities, crafting roadmaps, defining and prioritizing product requirements, delivery and post-launch care.
  • To identify the missions necessary to realize our short-term strategic goals and to galvanize our teams to deliver the associated impact
  • To identify and define the long-term strategic vision and roadmap for the products and strategic lines of business in your organization
  • Formulating clear and coherent business cases to practically assess optimum investment options
  • Removing roadblocks so that Product Delivery Teams can focus on delivering the desired impacts without friction
  • The ongoing development of a world class team of current and future product leaders with a focus on attracting, maintaining and growing talent our ever growing Marketplace Product Management team.

  • A listening ear - building strong ties across the global organization to maintain a Product voice and presence. In return able to provide first-hand transparency of priorities and progress
  • Proficiency in making the tough calls – able to critically assess asks, wants, needs and make tough calls on what we will do, what we won’t do and in what priority those problems will be tackled
  • The capacity to elevate the role of Product within the organization, from a service provider to a strategic partner that continually identifies and drives impact
  • Directional leadership – the ability to influence, guide and mentor a team of highly capable product individuals to achieve both business goals, personal and professional development
  • A finger on the pulse – staying informed and abreast of both the ecommerce and ticketing landscapes. Constantly learning from what’s going on around us and making astute product judgements to guide our path forward
