The Role
The AM Equity - Reporting Analytics and Engineering squad have an outstanding opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to become a technical leader & mentor for the squad. The Equity Reporting and Analytics squad is part of the Equity Technology within Asset Management, developing software applications that support the reporting team and various Asset Management business users such as Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Operations teams. We are passionate about blending the best engineering practices and processes with the skills of our people to deliver for our Asset Management business partners.
The expertise we are looking for
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent and you want to learn more.
· Minimum of 7 years overall of Software Engineering experience
· Minimum of 5 years Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Angular
· Working knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL to aid in analysis and investigation.
· Proven experience in mentoring and coaching engineers
· Proven experience of working closely with Product teams to understand the importance requirements.
· Proven experience in production support and incident management.
· Minimum of 4 experience working hands-on with AWS Cloud Technologies and Services such as EKS, EC2, S3 etc.
· Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
· Hands on experience in test automation at various levels of testing (unit, component, integration, and functional tests), static code analysis and test-driven development practices
· You appreciate Agile standard methodologies within the Scrum context and have a deep knowledge of the development lifecycle.
· Strong understanding of coding patterns and engineering standard methodologies
· Strong communication and influencing skills.

Our team is part of the engineering product area within Asset Management, developing software applications that support the reporting team and Investment Professionals in Asset Management . We are committed to evolving our agile software development process and incorporating the newest technologies and practices.
Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
