Powering the tracking of over 4.4billion order shipments for 17,000 eCommerce retailers like Etsy, Harry’s and Kylie Cosmetics, AfterShip is a pioneer in post-purchase solutions and eCommerce AI. We deliver innovative, industry-leading SaaS solutions, including email automation, SMS marketing, smart product recommendation, shipment tracking, returns management, AI-predictive delivery estimates, and so on.

Our strong product market fit, prioritizing solving real problems for our customers, has resulted in a strong growth trajectory for the company. We secured a 66 million dollar Series B in 2021.

At AfterShip, we are building a diverse and high-performing culture that encourages collaboration and experimentation on a global scale. Even as a company with over 10 years under our belt and 450 AfterShippers across our 8 global offices, we embrace a dynamic and agile approach to our work.

We operate with a flat team structure, where you will have opportunities to contribute your ideas and take ownership over your work to create meaningful impact for the business and the customers we serve. If you’re looking for a vehicle to achieve your professional goals and work alongside fantastic teams, we invite you to join us.

Your Mission:

As Account Executive, your mission is to cultivate and close relationships with top eCommerce retailers and D2C brands. The ideal candidate is passionate about eCommerce, naturally curious, and a highly motivated hunter. With our range of solutions and product-led growth, you will be able to consultatively sell top-tier products you believe in and work with competitive commission structures that reward your efforts. For the right person, the potential to capitalize on the momentum is limitless.

You will be in a full cycle sales role, and work closely with Solutions Architects, Marketing, and Customer Success to achieve our shared goals. Leveraging your savvy interpersonal skills and persistence to determine how decisions are made, you will uncover business needs of prospective clients in the eCommerce sector, and enable them to use our solutions to support their business’ growth and solve for end customers’ needs as well.

This is a remote-first/hybrid-flexible position, with priority placed on the successful candidate being based in either Austin, Texas (US) or Toronto, Ontario (Canada). Reporting to our Sales Manager in the US, the Account Executive is part of AfterShip's global team. As such, there may be the need to work outside of regular office hours for team meetings or in order to collaborate with members of the team in APAC, with advance notice provided.

What You’ll Do:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets to increase AfterShip users and revenue in the North American market
  • Prepare and execute sales strategy for top eCommerce retailers and D2C brands to exceed AfterShip sales targets
  • Develop a strategy to penetrate key prospects, while working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Perform the necessary sales activities to obtain meetings with C-level clients
  • Conduct thorough business needs analyses and explaining why AfterShip is uniquely positioned to satisfy those needs
  • Manage your CRM system to the highest level in order to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting
  • Engage well with clients over webinars, calls, and, in some instances, face-to-face meetings during events or on-site meetings
  • Prepare client briefs and proposals to the highest level and working autonomously
  • Demonstrating initiative in your role to grow the business

Who We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2+ years in a sales or customer success role, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets in a SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce and experience working with platforms like Shopify, plus familiarity with the associated app ecosystem
  • Proficiency with sales and CRM tools like HubSpot, Sales Navigator, and Google Suite
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Experience working in a remote-first and international team environment is preferred

At AfterShip, we understand that not all applicants will have skills that match the job description exactly. We value diverse experiences and respect that experience comes in many different forms, so even if you feel you may not meet every qualification to a T then we still encourage you to apply. We are always looking for people who can help us continue to raise the bar for our team and who want to join us on our mission.

Why You Should Join Us:

  • We’re a remote-first team, meaning by default that employees work from home or on a hybrid-flexible basis in our hub locations (Toronto, Austin, Barcelona). You’re empowered to choose a work setup that works best for you and your team. With flexible hours depending on your time zone, you’ll be able to have a schedule that fits your working style and the requirements of your role.
  • We have great ambition to make buying and selling easier for everyone in this world -- one of the most exciting spaces for a technology start-up to be in. There is virtually no ceiling for either what you will be doing or learning here, and we want to support you to grow exponentially, along with the company.
