Your Team:

You will work closely with Sales, Sales Development, Customer Success Managers, Professional Development, Implementation Specialists, Content Developers, and Marketing to drive the sale from start to close. Your expertise will be essential in understanding the needs of each individual district and working closely with the team to position our solution to best meet their unique needs.

Your Role:

With a clear passion for Seesaw's mission and a strong drive to succeed, you are ready to tackle a full cycle sales role, helping schools and districts leverage Seesaw in their learning community. 

You must have prior success in K12 education sales - as well as a firm understanding of the K12 educational ecosystem within your territory. Ideally, you have relationships with districts in the territory you are applying for and a deep knowledge of the state's landscape, initiatives, funding, adoptions, etc. You must be a hungry and driven self starter, a team player, and have a hunter mentality. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Uncover and Identify the unique needs of schools & districts to best position Seesaw and build new partnerships 
  • Design and execute sales territory plans by identifying opportunities within the market, developing effective outreach strategies, and aligning with revenue goals
  • Develop, grow and manage a pipeline of new and expanding schools and districts 
  • Develop and execute campaigns to drive pipeline generation 
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process to meet or exceed bookings and revenue goals 
  • Create and manage local and regional purchasing cooperative relationships and agreements
  • Create quarterly forecasts against established targets and contribute to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales cadence meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, especially with CX and Marketing, to ensure a strong customer-experience, report on trends and customer feedback, and drive sales
  • Utilize Salesforce, Gong, and Outreach to manage and report on opportunities from the initial interest of a customer to the close of the sale
  • Travel 30%-50% of the time to key growth accounts, conferences, local events and onsite visits

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of successful K12 sales experience, ideally experience selling both Platform and Content in a field sales role
  • Understands K12 market including: how to operate successfully in schools and districts in your territory; how to lead decision-makers and influencers to partner and purchase solutions like Seesaw; how to navigate K12 funding and procurement processes; and deep understanding of local/regional/county/state education initiatives
  • Willingness to spend three days per week in the field, with the ability to travel locally or nearby states as needed
  • Adept at managing the full sales cycle from Discovery to Closing
  • Demonstrates strong quota achievement year over year
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas/solutions clearly and concisely
  • Advanced listening skills and ability to successfully address customer needs, pain points, objections, and inquiries and align Seesaw solutions with their objectives, goals, and vision
  • Ability to build partnerships and leverage experts and executive sponsors to build new partnerships
  • Technology savvy and loves learning new tools and processes to make us better/faster/smarter
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized; excellent Salesforce hygiene; obsessive about not letting things slip through the cracks

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is just one part of our total compensation package that includes equity, perks & benefits, and development opportunities at Seesaw. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Seesawers. It is our expectation that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at Seesaw will land well within our salary ranges based on these factors.

The annual compensation range for this position is: 

$150,000 - $230,000 OTE

This is an Exempt position.
