We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Broadband Consulting to lead our consulting initiatives in the Western region of the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading a professional services team; the telecommunications industry and related contemporary opportunities/challenges for both public and private sector clients; strategic planning and decision-making; and communication both external and internal. This role will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing client engagements, and ensuring the successful delivery of consulting services to our clients.

Responsibilities:
 

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand broadband consulting services in the Western region of the US.

  • Lead a team of consultants, through respective management staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development.

  • Collaborate with senior management to align regional goals with the company’s overall objectives.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Identify client needs and develop tailored consulting solutions to meet those needs.

  • Oversee the delivery of consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.

Project Oversight and Sponsorship:

  • Provide high level oversight multiple consulting projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Support development of project plans, allocation of resources, and progress monitoring of consulting engagements.

  • Act as escalation point in support of resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Support provision of expert advice on broadband technologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in broadband technology and incorporate them into consulting practices.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage regional budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.

  • Experience with P&L financial performance responsibilities, managing budgets, and making strategic decisions to optimize profitability.

  • Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Ensure profitability and financial sustainability of consulting projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in broadband consulting, telecommunications, or a related industry.

  • Proven track record of leading consulting teams and managing large-scale projects.

  • Strong understanding of broadband technologies, including fiber optics, wireless, and satellite communications.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel within the Western region as required.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Practice good judgement and take ownership in workplace safety.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00
