Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Professor (MD) will provide surgical care to patients.

Duties will include but are not limited to direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations. Engagement in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included. Additional duties will vary by position, discipline and division

The Faculty are expected to promote academic excellence, provide patient care (when applicable), search for translational opportunities and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans.

As a Faculty member, it is imperative to provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care, community outreach, research and instruction. Incumbents must be highly skilled and knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have specialized experience. Appointees should possess relevant degree or scholarly or professional credentials, which may vary by discipline and department. Appointments may have a varied responsibilities in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or research.


Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD/DO) with general surgery residency/fellowship training.
  • Eligible for Arkansas Medical License
  • American Board of Surgery eligible
  • DEA License or eligible
