Title: Accounting Manager/Human Resources Coordinator 

Location: Denver, Colorado

FLSA: Exempt

Status: Full-time  

Reports to: General Manager 

Supervises: Accounting Department 

 

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000

Job Summary: The Accounting Manager / Human Resources Coordinator ensures the timely and accurate management of property-level financial operations while supporting all Human Resources administrative functions to maintain compliance and enhance the property’s operational efficiency. 

 

Essential Functions and Duties: 

  • Audit and enter all daily revenues, receipts, and ledger balances into daily reports, ensuring accurate General Ledger postings. 

  • Maintain control over cashier banks, petty cash funds, and prepare bank deposits according to company policies. 

  • Reconcile daily cash deposits and credit card transmissions while managing accounts receivable and billing processes. 

  • Handle billing, collection efforts, and resolve credit card disputes or chargebacks in a timely manner. 

  • Enter invoices into the Accounts Payable system after verifying purchase orders and approvals. 

  • Assist with financial reporting, including monthly revenue reports and ledger detail for management. 

  • Timely and accurate payroll processing, including performing regular payroll audits. 

  • Maintain property inventories, monitor department spending, and report on potential overtime. 

  • Support Human Resources functions by maintaining personnel records, filing paperwork, and handling associate issues. 

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding tasks, including scheduling interviews and preparing new hire folders. 

  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures. 

  • Handle confidential HR information and audits related to personnel and corporate policies.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. 

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in hotel accounting or an Accounting Degree with 2 years of hotel accounting experience. 

  • Proficiency with accounting software, including M3 Accounting Core, and HR software systems. 

  • Strong understanding of general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll processing, and HR administrative functions. 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. 

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. 

Work Environment: 

  • Primarily office-based work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 10 lbs. 

  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment, requiring extended periods of sitting. 

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on reporting deadlines and operational needs.
