FTE: .75, Shift: Night, Schedule: 12-HR Shifts; Alternating Weekends

Position Summary

The Emergency Services Representative is an ideal intermediate level opportunity responsible for the clerical aspects of Emergency Department operations. If you are a service-oriented individual with the ability to respond to patients and families with sympathy, respect, and understanding, this could be a perfect position for you.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide support through patient registration, clinical order processing, medical record maintenance, entry, financial counseling, and fee collections
  • You will serve as the focal point for department communications and as a resource for patients and families
  • You will perform in accordance with infection control procedures and patient care unit standards
  • You will regularly utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Completion of Unit Secretary (Unit Coordinator) vocational training course preferred
  • One (1) year of previous patient care or currently enrolled in clinical education program preferred
  • One (1) year of equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $22.64 - $34.48 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
