Summary:
Work with design engineering teams and manage the development of global standards for design methodologies. Work with Wafer Foundries and EDA tool vendors to understand industry trends and best practices, coordinate tool evaluations and manage EDA vendor relationships. Duties include:
Work with global design centers to ensure standardization and centralization of the design environment, creating re-use capability, develop information sharing mechanisms and
Participate in cross-functional team collaboration.
Work with EDA tool vendors on obtaining first-hand knowledge of industry trends and best practices that directly apply to Allegro design and product requirements.
Manage projects with IT for the installation of tools and licenses.
Manage projects with the PDK development team for methodology related PDK changes.
Develop Allegro’s EDA tool strategy with regards to standard methodology deployment.
Provide guidance to the procurement department on EDA tool vendor contracts.
Documentation for deployed design methodologies.
Training for design engineering teams.
Define standard design methodologies for global deployment.
Supervise 3 positions: Sr. EDA Engineer/Team Lead, Sr. Principal CAD/EDA Engineer, EDA Engineer
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 8 years of relevant experience, or, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 6 years of relevant experience. Total experience must include:
5 years of experience with:
EDA design methodologies and PDK (Process Design Kit) development;
PDK design components, design methodologies, spice models, and design verification;
Industry standard EDA tool vendors and solutions, and
3 years of experience with:
web-based design management tools, documentation, and bug tracking systems;
analog and digital circuit design.
Hybrid office/home work schedule
10% domestic and/or international travel required
