Medical Assistant / Technician Medical Surgical - NYP/Queens Medical Group 

In this role, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. As a Medical Assistant in our practice, you will:

• Assists the provider in the exam or treatment room, when needed.
• Collects urine samples.
• Draws blood samples.
• Maintains and re-orders medical supplies.
• Takes and records height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients.
• Provides basic life support when needed.
• Reviews laboratory results.
• Assists physicians with various procedures.
• Orders and restocks medical supplies.
• Files laboratory and other results in medical records.
• Performs other clinical and clerical support activities as required
• Pulls lab results from computer as needed for patient care.

This is a full-time 36.25 hours per week position Monday-Friday with possible Saturday coverage in the future. Shifts range from 8:00am - 6pm. This position is located at 44-02 Francis Lewis Boulevard, Bayside, NY 11361. May be required to travel and cover for other practices in Queens.

Preferred Criteria

• Medical Assistant experience
• Epic experience
• Bilingual candidates would be a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese)

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
