Job Purpose:

The Machine Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of Bobst die cutting machines. You will be operating die cutting equipment to produce high-quality print and packaging products.

Job Responsibilities:

● Read job specifications to determine machine set ups, adjustments and material requirements.
● Coordinate with Machine Assistant on stacking process at finished end, give direction, delegate and supervise duties.
● Communicate with the production team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
● Safely operate the die cutter efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
● Perform machine setup per factory card requirements.
● Conduct quality inspections of cut materials, flagging and isolating defective products.
● Maintain accurate production records including waste, production time, and waiting time.
● Monitor the machines during operations to ensure the quality of the product.
● Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working condition.
● Follow all safety rules and regulations including Safe Operating Procedures and Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Coordinates with Machine Assistant on stacking process at finished end; halts machine and/or aids assistant as needed.
  • Performs machine setup per factory card requirements.
  • Set up and adjust the Bobst die cutter, including feeder settings, delivery components die lock-up and stripper.
  • Safely operate the die cutter efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Salary is $23.50/hr.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 years industry experience
  • High school diploma preferred

Work Experience:

● 3-5 years of related job experience.

● Ability to work in a team environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED Preferred
