We are currently seeking a creative individual to join our System & Process Engineering (SPE) Data Science Team in Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) group in Micron Technology Co.. The SMAI team supports company-wide AI solutions enablement from the intelligent manufacturing to optimized the business operation. This team works in Micron Taichung site, but collaborates with worldwide users and developers closely and frequently. This team builds end-to-end solutions for helping the Assembly & Test (A&T) operations. The scopes cover from advanced package technology development, planning and execution, equipment and process control to product quality assurance. The delivered solutions will empower our organization to make data-driven decisions. These works will directly support A&T pivotal initiatives and help shape and improve business processes.

Position Overview...

As a SPE Data Science Engineer at Micron Technology, Co. in A&T Operations, you would support Data and AI/ML solutions development, especially in Operations Improvement, and scheduling / dispatching area. You will work with our global manufacturing sites to discover new opportunities to optimize our network, and improve efficiencies from defining data architecture to building data analytical & automation systems that provide actionable and impactful insights. The new hire would have the chance to design a scalable solution by partner with customers and other SMAI technical solution engineers. The respective domain knowledges would learn while understanding the business problems. We're seeking for any talent who is passionate about applying the state-of-the arts methods to solving the industry problems and has strong motivation of growing a career as a AI solution provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Build Next Generation Smart Manufacturing Systems: Dispatch & Advanced Scheduling, Data Analytics, etc.)
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define data infrastructure roadmap for building a scalable data pipeline. Make sure the operational data quality
  • Design, develop and deploy data analytic methods or AI/ML models to the production systems
  • Design and develop Modern Visualization Solutions with user friendly design for multiple platforms (desktop, web, mobile, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficient in one or more programming languages: Python, C#, C/C++, etc.
  • Familiar with databases and respective data ETL methods, such as SQL, NoSQL, Cloud SQL, etc.
  • Ability to develop visualization tools by Tableau or Power BI. Skills in web application and Flask APIs development are preferred
  • Strong problem solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Excellent English communication, especially in written and spoken

Education and Experience:

  • Master Degree or equivalent experience in any below fields: statistics, operation research, computer science, applied mathematics, information technology.
  • 3-5 years experiences in solving industry problems by turning data into valuable information with appropriate analytic methods.
  • Experience with the full data spectrum of data engineering projects: source data and databases, data warehousing and storage, ETL, analysis, modeling, and visualization
  • Shown experience in project management and multi-task simultaneously
  • Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing with knowledge of ERP, Manufacturing Planning and Execution systems is a plus.
