Job Description:
The Financial Reporting Lead Analyst role plays a critical role in the Company’s compliance with our ongoing external reporting requirements. This role will include the facilitation and preparation of cash flow and other disclosures in our external filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange (“SEC”) for Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K within the Company’s Workiva filing tool. This position will also be responsible for: ensuring external filings have complete & accurate tie-out support, assisting with the implementation of changes related to new accounting standard pronouncements, disclosure controls related to external filings, external audit disclosure checklist preparation, assisting in the Company’s quarterly representation letter administration, XBRL tagging on SEC filings (as applicable) and coordinating with other key business functions including FP&A, investor relations, and SEC counsel to ensure deadlines are established and met.
The role will report to the SEC Reporting Leader as well as a dotted line to the Cash Flow Reporting Leader and will be responsible for maintaining ongoing accounting, reporting, and control of the areas referenced above. Ideal candidates should have experience in accounting and financial reporting ideally related to the areas above in addition to solid skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and working cross functionally in a global organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Preparation of certain Financial Statements, footnotes and management discussion & analysis of all related SEC filings. Preparation and presentation of internal quarter-end review materials to Chief Accounting Officer.
Coordinate with the GE Vernova HQ Controllership team to ensure clear understanding of intercompany cross business schedules and impact to the Statement of Cash Flows. Ensure cash flow adjustments (CFAs) are recorded as needed to properly report the Statement of Cash Flows in compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements
Serve as a primary contact and support for internal and external audits related to cash flows. Able to clearly articulate cash flow statement closing processes, including rationale for CFAs
Assist in management of Financial Reporting data requests (“DR”) including both collection and review.
Assist in management of the Financial Reporting package (“FRP”) with business segments as well as internal financial reporting management reviews.
Understand financial reporting implications of new accounting pronouncements and/or segment reporting changes and assist in performing Statement of Cash Flow recasts when necessary.
Assist in management of XBRL tagging on all reporting areas in liaison with Workiva team.
Work directly with Deloitte to support timely closure of external audits.
Assist in management of the Workiva reporting tool for all SEC filings as well as Financial Reporting related internal review documents.
Assist in Rep Letter coordination
Drive simplification projects using lean.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP/Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
SEC filing experience
Advanced Hyperion, Oracle/Essbase, and Excel skills preferred.
Strong business analytical skills and ability to use those skills to influence and drive change.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong and persuasive communicator: essential to have credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment to drive change and establish process.
Demonstrated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable, value-add business insight.
Desire to formulate and implement process/structure with drive to continue to challenge the status quo.
Strong results orientation, bias for action
Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $95,300.00 and $158,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
