JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Job Function
The ANI Market Insights Director – Pacific Asia is responsible for leading the development and execution of market intelligence, insights, and analytics strategies to support business growth across the Pacific Asia region. This role drives data-informed decision-making by translating complex market, customer, and competitive data into actionable insights that inform strategic priorities, portfolio decisions, and commercial excellence initiatives. The MI Director partners closely with regional leadership, marketing, sales, and global teams to strengthen market positioning and identify growth opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
1. Market Intelligence & Insights Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional market insights strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the collection, synthesis, and interpretation of market, customer, and competitor data across Pacific Asia markets.
- Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and risks to support proactive decision-making.
2. Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Strategy).
- Translate insights into clear recommendations that influence commercial strategy and execution.
- Support portfolio planning, product launches, and lifecycle management with robust data and analytics.
3. Analytics & Reporting
- Oversee the design and delivery of dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
- Drive adoption of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of market and performance data.
4. Customer & Market Understanding
- Lead primary and secondary market research initiatives (e.g., customer segmentation, needs analysis, customer journey mapping).
- Provide deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and unmet needs across diverse markets.
5. Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitive landscape and benchmark performance against key competitors.
- Deliver actionable insights on competitor strategies, pricing, positioning, and innovation.
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional insights team.
- Build organizational capabilities in market analytics, data literacy, and insight-driven decision-making.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with global insights teams to align methodologies and share best practices.
- Manage external vendors and research partners to ensure high-quality outputs.
Background & Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience in market insights, analytics, or strategic marketing roles.
- Proven experience working across Pacific Asia markets.
- Strong experience in multinational or regional roles within complex, matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise in market research methodologies, data analytics, and insight generation.
- Experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
