Sr. Cybersecurity Architect

Description -

The Cybersecurity Senior Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the security architecture for HP’s Cyber organization working with senior technical leaders across the organization. This role will ensure that security solutions are aligned with the business objectives (secure, productive, financially viable), regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role will also provide guidance and leadership to the security team and other stakeholders on security-related issues and initiatives. Finally, this role will be instrumental in providing longer-term integrated technical road-maps for all disciplines within Cyber that also align and integrate effectively with technologies across the organization.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work across the organization with other senior leaders and technical subject matter experts to develop an optimal technology architecture (secure, productive, financially viable) 
  • Develop routines, channels and relationships across the organization to ensure deep coordination, alignment and connectivity across all technology verticals 
  • Develop, maintain and govern Cyber technology standards and tools 
  • Develop and maintain the security architecture framework, policies, standards, and guidelines for the organization. 
  • Design and implement security solutions for various IT projects and systems, such as cloud, network, endpoint, identity and access management, data protection, threat detection and response, etc. 
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the security solutions and controls. 
  • Research and stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. 
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the security team and other IT staff. 
  • Collaborate and communicate with senior management, business units, and external partners on security-related matters. 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field. 
  • At least 15-years of of progressive experience in IT security, with at least 10-years in a senior or lead role. 
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in security architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies. 
  • Proficient in various security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, etc. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
