Summary: As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and/or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreement. You will ensure the smooth functioning of the systems and provide timely support to resolve any issues that may arise. Roles & Responsibilities: • Setup/Configuration/Support of DB2 UDB 11 version (Standalone, SQL failover cluster, always -on etc.) and RDS . • Must have extensive experience to support large size, high volume, and critical DB2 environments. • Proficient in Database installation, setup, upgrade, and space management procedures • implementing and configuring DR solutions . • Experience installing, Maintaining DB2 UDB in a EC2 ( AWS) environment. Professional & Technical Skills: - To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM DB2 Database Administration. • Ability to detect and troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resources contention related issues. • Good experience with backups, restores and recovery models. • Good experience of high availability(HA) and Disaster recovery(DR) options for DB2 • Critical thinker and problem solving skills. • Good time-management skills, Great interpersonal and communications skills • Good experience with shell scripting or Ansible • Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization. • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision • Flexible to work in 24/7 shift • Must be a team player • Must be capable to upscale and take initiative to deliver the task independently. • Must be open to learn and work on new technologies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration. - Bachelor’s degree. - ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certified - Preferred to have MCSA certification. - Preferred to have knowledge/certification on any Cloud Technologies. - 5-7 Years( L10) of DB2 database administration platforms. - A 15 years full time education is required.
