Job Summary: The Field Services Technician 2 performs testing, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment at field locations. This role involves installing new equipment, operating and maintaining both digital and analog devices, and troubleshooting issues to find solutions. This position typically works under close supervision and guidance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Install and perform maintenance and repairs on equipment. May also assist senior field technicians as needed at field locations.
Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using hand tools, test equipment, schematics, and manuals.
Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Perform system checks to ensure operational readiness of devices.
Recommend improvements to circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Build cable assemblies and Printed Circuit Board (PCB’s) as required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in compliance with contractual obligations.
Professionally interface with customer agencies to provide support and maintain strong client relationships.
Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues.

Perform general maintenance, technical and semi-technical tasks not limited to electronics.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including DOT regulations for safety sensitive roles.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Cubic Pay Range:
$16.85 - $36.52 + benefits.
