We are seeking a Corporate Accountant with expertise in IFRS Accounting. As a member of the Corporate Controlling & Corporate Accounting department, the Corporate Accountant will work closely with team members charged with an array of duties including but not limited to Group Accounting, Consolidations, Disclosure and Closing Support.

• Actively involved in the preparation of the IFRS consolidated financial statements for Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA and in the preparation of consolidated interim financial statements (quarterly financial statements)
• Independently support domestic and foreign subsidiaries in the context of the preparation of consolidated financial statements (consulting, plausibility check & balance sheet analysis of reporting data, feedback)
• Responsible for preparation of the disclosures in the notes for external IFRS reporting requirements (SEC, Deutsche Börse).
• Routinely work on valuation questions as part of the annual impairment tests as well as special questions in the area of accounting
• Serve as key point of contact for auditors and subsidiaries.
• Prepare balance sheet analyses and key figures as well as other evaluations
• Actively involved in various project activities as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree preferred, either ideally with a focus on accounting, auditing, finance, economics or another relevant field.
• Relevant professional experience in the consolidation of an internationally active, listed company or an auditing firm.
• Experience with impairment calculations for non-current assets is an advantage
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking, detailed work, reliability as well as independent and structured working methods are a matter of course for you
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Experience operating SAP SEM-BCS ideal
• Highly proficient operating MS Excel
• Fluency in the English and German languages (spoken and written) is highly preferred
