Job Description

CONNECTED COMPONENTS SUPPORT 

 

Connected Components Support Team mainly provides phone support in specialized Rockwell Automation PLCs (Micro800, SLC, MicroLogix), Sensors (all products), Industrial PCs (VersaView and other), Software (Connected Components Workbench) and Safety Components. Engineers assist with issues related with programming issues (mainly Ladder Diagram), hardware faults troubleshooting, hardware configuration and computer’s hardware related issues. 

Remote Support Engineers are responsible for answering incoming customers' questions, lab testing/verifying solutions, developing and documenting technical articles. This is great opportunity to gain a highly complex knowledge and experience in Industrial Automation area and become specialist in one of many fields like PLC, SCADA, HMI, Power Control – Drives, Motion, Industrial Networks, and many more. 

Mostly, the Team supports North American customers: end users, distributors, and internal customers, hence knowledge of the English language is a must.​ 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Phone and email technical support for customers in troubleshooting and solving issues related to Rockwell Automation products. 

  • Simulation and analysis of clients’ issues using available resources. 

  • Research, verification, and resolution of reported issues. 

  • Documenting technical solutions and best practices. 

  • Cooperation with technical teams and Customer Care. 

  • Continuous improvement in products and technologies is required to provide high-level support for customers. 

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Degree in Automation Engineering/Electrical/related field and/or prior experience in a similar position. 

  • Very good command of English (spoken and written). 

  • Proven knowledge of electricity and reading of wiring diagrams. 

  • High interpersonal skills and ability to work on stressful commercial issues. 

  • Good knowledge of the Windows operating system. 

  • Experience in customer service.
