Driving Business Performance
The Group Account Finance Director (GAFD) will act as an advisor to the industry leads, managing directors and finance leads to support short- and long-term decision making to their portfolio
Work closely with account leaders, finance directors, commercial and procurement teams to manage and support margin expansion by:
Challenging account performance and identifying commercial opportunities
Analysing performance across the portfolio to identify and rectify value leakage issues/ areas of cross-sell/ up-sell opportunities
Benchmarking (internally and externally) to identify profitability opportunities
Embedding enhanced understanding across Account teams of full P&L performance of accounts
Monitoring and managing commercial risk on contracts
Monitor and drive financial performance by developing clear commentary for business leaders to understand, providing them with actionable insights, appropriate for Board level consumption
Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting process, supporting the business to own their assumptions, and enabling them to understand the drivers and impact on JLL’s profitability
Constructively probe decisions and support investment prioritisation
Support the tracking and reporting of sales performance, wins and forward pipeline through to actual financial performance when business lands
Work with controllership (accountable for the accuracy of reported figures) in resolving issues that may arise within the business e.g. ensuring appropriate revenue recognition
Ensure the delivery of accurate quarterly and annual financial statements
Drive excellence in how the business uses analytics and data to support decision making that drives growth, profitability and cashflows. Developing reporting that is fit for purpose, are automated, streamlined and add impact
Drive clarity and consistency of financial flows between business lines, accounts, geographies, and the rest of the organization to maintain transparency and accuracy of P&Ls in a complex matrix of stakeholders across the organisation
Work collaboratively with client finance delivery teams to ensure consistency of accounting and processes across accounts within the portfolio
Collaborate with transition and transformation to ensure appropriate, effective and cost-efficient delivery models are in place to meet the changing market and client needs
Proactively seek and share best practices across the business groups and be an active contributor to business transformation efforts
Developing a World Class Finance team
Act as a role model for OneJLL and OneFinance team behaviours.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team by providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of finance professionals to ensure a well-rounded and diverse team with the right skillsets to support the organization's financial objectives
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging their professional growth and development through regular coaching, performance feedback, and opportunities for advancement
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams, enabling seamless collaboration and coordination to ensure timely delivery of financial reports, analyses, and strategic insights
Required Skills and Experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA) with 8 to 12 years of post-qualified experience to support the role
Understanding of and commitment to business partnering and client service. Demonstrated experience in direct and indirect relationship management
Financial competency at both a strategic and detailed level of operation. Strong accounting and analytical skills
Able to build effective business relationships at all levels and used to working in a matrix organisation
Fluency in English is essential; Polish or other languages are a plus
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, change management and communication skills
Demonstrable finance and commercial experience, covering business partnering, financial management, contract management and governance
