As part of this we are looking to hire a Digital Process Engineering Lead who will be leading the efforts of redesigning the various processes a typical Core Trade transaction would go through.

The successful candidate will work closely with our control functions teams to ensure the right framework and resources for execution of each project and in place and ensuring system changes are thoroughly tested, client needs are met, and the organization is ready for process changes.

As the prime mover of the projects including scoping, resource-planning, communications, project governance, risk management, and readiness, you will be required to connect the dots, build trust and understanding between groups, and orchestrate the activities needed to make the projects successful.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing large, global projects that interweave multiple functional teams and/or multiple systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks within the existing operations and client workflow and develop and implement strategies to streamline business processes and drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Design processes in a modular fashion which are digital first and product agnostic in nature and can cater to the requirements of existing products in Core Trade as well as potential products to be launched in future.

  • Manage project risk throughout the life of the project; identify, document, and drive resolution of project issues through collaboration and influencing decisions using customer-focused approach, maintaining comprehensive documentation on the projects, and tracking each progress.

  • Perform budget planning and resource allocation to leverage resources effectively and ensure timely execution of the projects.

  • Gather and analyze data/ metrics on the existing system and identify gaps for improvement. Review operational processes to ensure their alignment and relevance with evolving operations and policies.

  • Design process stages in such a way which facilitates seamless connectivity and straight through processing, considering dependencies on upstream and downstream processes.

What we’ll need from you

  • Knowledge in process improvement and reengineering methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma), leading large multi-year technology transformation initiatives, especially focused on transformations and delivering superior client experience, across global projects incorporating regional and country-specific details.

  • Familiarity with latest technology trends, best-in-class practices, and technology landscape evolution:  Enterprise architecture & technology landscape, microservices design, data management; Experience with transactional banking architecture and infrastructure needs.

  • Knowledge of trade finance solutions and processes are a plus, as is experience in working on business process orchestration tools like Appian, Camunda, Pega etc.

  • Excellent project management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, which you will use for influencing, facilitation, and partnering with key stakeholders and senior management and drive change through the organization

  • A persuasive communicator, verbally and written who has experience of working with and the ability to lead direct and indirect reports or teams which will require teamwork and organizational skills

To be successful you will need the capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems and work across different sets of data and distil necessary information for decision making, navigating ambiguity to ensure all objectives and execution goals are clear. You have the opportunity to maximize STP processing through the entire lifecycle of a transaction for each of the core trade products and improving the overall client experience by reducing turn around times significantly.
