The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a FIFO Site Technical Representative.  Based on 8 days on, 6 days off roster ex Perth WA, this role involves managing and providing technical support for drilling consumables across several mine sites to ensure seamless operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Offer technical support for all rotary and DTH products.

  • Oversee inventory management at each site to prevent disruptions in supply.

  • Identify customer needs and develop solutions to address them effectively.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by participating in site meetings and safety initiatives.

  • Analyse discarded products to uncover opportunities for improvement.

  • Assist with testing new and existing products in the field as needed.

  • Foster strong relationships with site customers, focusing on rig movements, drill string configurations, and specific requirements.

  • Regularly engage with drill teams to boost their understanding of best drill practices for Rotary & DTH applications and proper maintenance of drilling tools. 

  • Provide technical support to enhance product performance, efficiency, and safety.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, showing a commitment to collaborative success.

Your Profile

  • 3-4 years of experience in surface drilling applications is advantageous.

  • Experience within the RTIO mining system is ideal.

  • Proven ability to share knowledge and assist in team development.

  • Strong customer focus with experience dealing with customers at all levels.

  • Rotary & DTH drilling competency as a Driller, Drill Supervisor, or Driller Leading Hand, with a strong understanding of the mining industry.

  • Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly MS Excel and MS Outlook, and use of a tablet in the field.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.

  • Australian Driver’s License – C.

  • Senior First Aid certificate preferred.

  • High Risk work license – DG (Dogging).
