Hybrid - Fort Collins, CO

Role Summary                                                          

This role has the responsibility to ensure all Waterpik products, packaging, and labeling are compliant for domestic and global market access. Specifically, this role will manage and lead the Product Compliance team, monitor the global compliance and regulatory landscape, and ultimately provide actionable guidance to inform cross-functional teams across the broader organization. This is a hybrid position located in Fort Collins, CO.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities   

  • Accountable for the management and leadership of the product compliance team
  • Accountable for the monitor and communication of international and domestic standards, laws and regulations that are relevant to Water Pik products, packaging, and labeling.
  • Responsibility to assist in evaluation and assessment of new product development, proposed design changes and alternate constructions to provide guidance to engineering teams and the wider organization.
  • Responsibility to advocate for regulatory and product compliance throughout Waterpik organization. Specifically, to foster understanding throughout the organization.
  • Responsibility to continuously seek to improve efficiencies, workflows, data collection, and processes within the compliance team and across cross-functional engagements.
  • Responsible for product stewardship/sustainable/environmental reporting. And maintaining related relationships and within the larger Church and Dwight organization.

Operating Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities                                                       

  • Ability to manage a small team supporting project and timeline management, prioritization, resource allocation and personal development.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and communicate the applicability of laws and regulations and standards (IEC 60335-2-52, ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1)
  • Experience managing and supporting testing and certification projects with outside testing groups such as UL, TUV, Intertek, IAPMO R&T and CSA Group.
  • Experience supporting electromechanical device compliance strongly preferred – specifically supporting products using motors, batteries, micro controllers, wireless communication.
  • Knowledge of product stewardship/sustainable practices responsibilities and activities beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with medical devices.
  • Experience working with suppliers from China.

Education and Experience                                                          

  • Minimum 4 Year degree required. Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience related to regulatory and/or compliance.
  • Experience managing direct reports required.

Other Qualifications & Physical Requirements                                                        

  • Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Head of Global New Products Engineering
  • 10-15% travel. Primarily domestic but potential for limited international.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated pay:  $101,600 - $158,800 Annual Salary
