Title: Utilities Manager

The Utilities Manager will lead a new utilities department at the Indianapolis site. This role will build out an operational resource plan and support commissioning of a new combined heat and power (CHP) facility. This role will also manage existing distributed utilities systems to support the site in meeting safety, quality, yield, cost, and customer delivery goals, and serve on task forces, cross-functional teams, committees, etc., as required.

Your role will be:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operation of utilities systems (including water, wastewater, compressed air, etc.) to meet the projected needs of the plant. Drive operations activities to meet defined KPI’s.
  • Developing and implementing resource plan for new CHP facility and provide ongoing leadership for its operation.
  • Coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure execution of planned maintenance to deliver world-class utility supply availability.
  • Promoting and administering Safety, Health, and Environmental programs in order to ensure workforce stability, eliminating losses attributable to personal injury or property damage, and complying with regulatory guidelines applicable to manufacturing processes and product characteristics.
  • Keeping historical data, analyzing, and monitor key efficiencies and parameters against design, in order troubleshooting deviations and meet cost and production goals and other efficiency KPI’s.
  • Assisting in the training and coaching of plant personnel in both process design and operational techniques related to utilities systems and usage.
  • Analyzing processes, developing new operating techniques, and recommending changes or capital expenditures to maintain or improve efficiencies, facility life, and quality.
  • Supporting Performance management activities and site development efforts to enhance the capability and provide ongoing personal development for employees.
  • Institutionalizing an atmosphere of accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to effectively handle a variety of assignments simultaneously and effective in dealing with ambiguity.

Your profile needs these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in operations or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working in industrial utilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of company and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures in the areas of GMP, quality and safety.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Software applications (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of public utility interface a plus.
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma tools and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Stationary Engineer and Wastewater certifications or willingness to attain.

Pay Range:

$95,300.00-$127,100.00 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
