Your new role
As a DAX Business Development Manager at Global, you will be a senior DAX sales resource for the agency teams and our customers. This role will be specifically responsible for driving DAX revenue and supporting their respective agency team in how they sell, plan, and implement DAX Campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the CDD, CAD & GAD in your agency group to identify key areas of learning and development across the team to support the selling and implementation of DAX campaigns; build a plan to close these learning gaps
- Align all agency team initiatives to deliver against Connected OKR objectives, working closely with the Transformation Manager and the wider Connected OKR group
- Act as a ‘go-to’ within the team to help resolve day-to-day DAX issues and ensure you are actively training the team on the right processes to increase their self sufficiency
- Work with the Head of Planning and the SME within the team to help ensure the team are working to clear roles and responsibilities and the AM’s & GAM’s are supporting on the right briefs
- Build a clear business plan to drive growth that docks into the wider Agency Team business plan; this will include specific sales support on AAA clients
- Provide digital leadership to enable the sales team to develop best in class DAX customer service.
- Be the face of DAX in your respective agency group and build influential digital relationships within the agency teams alongside the CDD, CAD & GAD (Heads of Digital, Digital Strategists, Heads of Programmatic)
- Apply expert knowledge across the nuances of digital audio, supporting the commercial team daily across: brief responses, best use of DAX systems, case studies, navigation of tools, analysing data and advising on digital proof points.
- Support on the weekly forecasting of DAX revenue into the CDD

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
- The first 3-months of this role will be focused on working closely with the Commercial DAX Director, Commercial Agency Director and Group Agency Director (within your agency team) to understand the key areas of learning and development across the team, alongside developing a cohesive business plan to identify the key growth areas for DAX across the group within audio & outdoor.
- As the DAX ambassador within your team, you will also act as a conduit for day-to-day problem solving to help educate the group in working effectively with other areas of the business that are critical for the creation and delivering of DAX campaigns, including product & data, DAX strategy, podcast sales and DAX Ad Ops.
- As the learning and development pressures within the agency team ease, this role will shift to a higher percentage of externally facing business development. This will include representing DAX in market to key digital influencers across your agency group and presenting to relevant clients. You will play a critical role in the pitching of DAX, be that on specific pitches through to supporting your team in how we respond, and influence digital spend with our customers.
What You’ll Need
- Experience of media planning and advertising, specifically the digital audio market. Ideally with 5+ years of audio digital experience and other media experience alongside this.
- A good understanding of DAX systems.
- An ability to inspire and excite about the capabilities of digital audio. With experience in teaching and leadership within this space.
- Be confident in the analysis of data.
