Job Details:

The College of Pharmacy is searching for an Admissions Counselor on the Atlanta, Georgia campus.


 

Responsibilities:

The Admissions Counselor will meet or exceed recruitment goals for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. The incumbent will articulate the mission, values, and differential advantages of the College to prospective students, families, collegiate advisors, high school counselors, and other external constituents. The Admissions Counselor manages recruitment activities including planning and executing their own recruitment travel, event coordination, prospect management from initial inquiry through enrollment including meeting and counseling prospective students through the admissions process. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for the budgeting, marketing, planning, and execution of the College’s recruitment events (on campus and virtual) including the annual admissions workshop and Make It Mercer Pharmacy! events, information sessions/webinars, open houses, and similar events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. Collegiate admissions or other collegiate- or sales-related professional experience is desirable. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with diverse individuals and groups; must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect when communicating with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations before large audiences (in person and online).

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare, proofread, and edit clear, concise and grammatically correct documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple and complex tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously, completing projects and tasks accurately and efficiently to meet goals and achieve goals.

  • Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations before large audiences (in person and online).

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, assess situations, and formulate logical decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and team focused to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies.

  • Strong technological skills including data analysis and management associated with a CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media.
