Our location in Northwest Georgia currently has an opportunity for a Pediatric Nutrition Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the promotion, management, and growth of Abbott Nutritional products in pediatric hospital and office settings.
Responsibilities
Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office service area for Similac, PediaSure and Pedialyte.
Hospital negotiations and contracting.
Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
New product launches.
An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
Effective administrative skills.
Budget management.
Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short and long term goals.
Territory
This territory will focus on cities in Northwest Georgia such as Calhoun, Cartersville, Dalton, Kennesaw, and Rome.
It will also cover cities in Northeast Alabama such as Gadsen and Guntersville.
The ideal candidate would be based in Northwest Georgia.
5-10% overnight travel for District/Regional meetings & trainings
Local candidates only, please. Relocation is not available for this role.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
The ideal candidate would have 2-3+ years of sales experience in a medical setting, working with Supply Chain and Health Care Professionals AND/OR Clinical Experience.
Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses in Pediatric/NICU/Labor & Delivery units are strongly encouraged to apply
Knowledge of hospital/office settings, specifically within pediatrics a plus.

The base pay for this position is
$60,000.00 – $120,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
