Are you a dynamic product manager with a passion for fintech innovation and a track record of driving high-impact projects?

Then Jobber might be the place for you! We’re looking for a Product Manager to be part of one of our Fintech scrum teams.

Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, electricians, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers, while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!

Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.

The team:

Fintech is one of the fastest-growing parts of Jobber, and a core strategic priority for us as a company. We're investing in this growing area because we believe embedding financial tools within our product deepens our ability to help small businesses be successful. Whether it’s helping small businesses get paid using Jobber Payments, getting access to capital to invest in growth, or offering financing to our customer’s customers - we believe small business owners should have seamless access to financial tools that allow them to thrive. Simply put, we care much more about our customers than any financial institution ever will. That’s our superpower.

The role:

Reporting to the Fintech Group Product Lead, the Product Manager will balance quantitative and qualitative research to deeply understand both the overall market conditions and our customers’ problems, to ensure we are executing on the highest priority initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help guide the success of the Jobber product, utilize data and consumer research to understand and validate top priorities, conceptualize a strategy, work to execute with a team of developers and designers and then measure success. You will be a motivator for your team, and keep them engaged and excited about finding and developing solutions to empower mobile small businesses.

The Product Manager will:

  • Take full accountability for leading a product team, including product discovery, shaping, delivery, and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Drive clarity and alignment across the team, stakeholders, and organization, fostering collaboration and ensuring shared understanding of product goals.
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand customer needs, challenges, and behaviors. Synthesize these insights into actionable strategies that inform product decisions and enhance user experience.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring customer feedback is consistently integrated into the product development process.
  • Own the near-term roadmap, curating and developing solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives and deliver meaningful value to customers.
  • Prioritize and deliver features that have a significant impact on both customers and the business. Ensure these features are aligned with long-term goals and adapt plans as needed based on feedback and market changes.
  • Build detailed product plans, oversee execution, and implement key success metrics. Iterate based on performance metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate the release process, ensuring smooth and effective product launches while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders involved.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a product manager or product owner in SAAS envionrment
  • Have previous experience working within agile and scrum frameworks, leading cross-functional teams through iterative product cycles and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Show strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying problems and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Be commercially minded, with the ability to balance customer needs with business goals, ensuring that product development aligns with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
  • Exhibit a high degree of empathy, understanding customer needs, and using this insight to drive product direction and strategy.
  • Demonstrate next-level communication skills, with the ability to articulate the voice of the customer, inspire teams, build trust, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maintain a data-driven mindset. You rely on data to define problems and measure success, and you thrive on contextualizing your work through various tools, systems, and processes.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, taking initiative and executing on projects without oversight, while consistently driving towards continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate ownership, ambition, and a results-driven mindset, continuously pushing for better outcomes and fostering a culture of accountability within the team.

Highly desired (but not a deal-breaker) if you had:

  • Fintech, finance, or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
