About the role & Program
ESPN Fan Support is the official customer service, fantasy office and technical assistance department for ESPN. We are a centralized hub to help sports fans navigate the network's digital ecosystem, resolving issues ranging from streaming content access, account login errors to fantasy sports rule clarifications, and so much more. We bring fans closer to the sports they love, whether they are fans in the stands or the suits in the suites!
This internship is a 10-week commitment from June 1st through August 7, 2026 based in New York City.
What You Will Do
Assist in auditing fantasy and streaming fan interactions, providing insights resulting in positive CSAT scoring
Research tentpole events and related contact drivers and address solutions to mitigate
Conduct industry research, specifically technology trends, including AI in sports media
Coordinate employee fantasy leagues
Communicate with a variety of different teams internally
Update the business intelligence and data analytics reports
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to support communication, reporting, and project tracking
Demonstrated passion for sports with the ability to actively engage and communicate with sports fans across platforms
Proven interest in assisting fans by identifying issues and contributing to timely, effective problem resolution
Experience collaborating in team-based environments while supporting multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask accurately in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings
Prior experience in customer support through academic, campus, or internship roles, interacting directly with users or customers
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Demonstrated foundational knowledge of the ESPN portfolio, including awareness of major brands, platforms, and content types
Knowledge of sports from both a fan and business perspective
Experience working in sports media or sports marketing (academic or internship)
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Business, Communications, Marketing or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
