Position Summary

Based on experience and education, new hires in this position are expected to start at $18.16 per hour plus an additional $3 per hour premium pay for working overnights..

CVS Health has an exciting new opportunity to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team in Mount Prospect, IL. As a materials pharmacy technician you will be involved in multiple areas including: maintaining/verifying on-hand quantities of medications, processing out-of-stocks, medication transfers, moving product to new locations, checking medications to ensure they have sufficient dating to dispense, & retrieving product from the warehouse to fulfill member orders. You may be cross-trained on other functions within the facility and your efforts will affect the lives of thousands of patients who rely on these critical specialty medications to be delivered from our pharmacy.

In order to be successful in this role you must be able to stand for periods of time throughout your shift, push/reach/twist/turn/bend/stand/walk and lift up to 30 lbs., but primarily the job involves working at a desk on a computer system & counting the quantities of medications in shelf locations. During your time at CVS as a pharmacy technician you will be exposed to multiple job functions. This will give you the chance to apply for future promotional opportunities and advance in your career.

This is an onsite 2nd/3rd shift position. The schedule is flexible but would either be for four ten-hour shifts per week or 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Start time would be 6pm or later each evening.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License REQUIRED

  • Some computer & keyboarding experience

  • Regular and predictable attendance.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam successfully passed by December 31st of your 2nd IL Pharmacy Technician License renewal


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on SAP systems.

  • Experience working in a Mail Order Pharmacy.


Education

  • Verifiable high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $28.84

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
