As a Sales Professional - Inside Sales, you will play a key role in supporting Regional Sales Managers and driving sales performance within a designated region. You will act as a primary point of contact for customers and manufacturer representatives, providing technical support, managing quotations, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering timely and accurate results that contribute to overall business success.
As a Sales Professional - Inside Sales, you will be responsible for:
Acting as a key resource for customers and manufacturer representatives, delivering responsive customer service and technical support.
Reviewing and interpreting customer inquiries, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate quotations.
Preparing and managing quotations, including sizing, pricing, and competitive positioning.
Following up on open quotes to drive order conversion and support sales goals.
Conducting contract reviews, including assessment of terms and conditions, technical requirements, discounts, and commissions.
Processing credits and returned material authorizations (RMA) accurately and efficiently.
Collaborating with Regional Sales Managers to maintain up-to-date information on customer activities and opportunities.
Ensuring continuity of customer support in the absence of the Regional Sales Manager.
Utilizing ERP systems and internal tools to manage sales activities and documentation.
Supporting broader team objectives by performing additional duties based on workload and business needs.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a high school diploma or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in mechanical applications, preferably working with manufacturers’ representatives.
Demonstrate knowledge of pressure relief products, process equipment, compressors, pumps, or petrochemical controls (preferred).
Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Demonstrate intermediate math skills and understanding of units of measure.
Be able to read and interpret basic submittal drawings.
Have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Show the ability to manage time effectively and deliver consistent results under deadlines.
Work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a positive and professional attitude.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use a computer and telephone for extended periods with sufficient manual dexterity.
Ability to sit for extended durations (up to 8+ hours per day).
Ability to occasionally stand and walk, including movement between office and manufacturing areas.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when accessing manufacturing areas.
