JOB SUMMARY

Leads a team of Commercial Services associates in the creation, maintenance and analysis of Sysco’s customer and supplier agreements, contract pricing, rebates and disputes.  Provides day-to-day leadership support to the SBS – Commercial Services leaders in performance analysis, validation, controls, and root cause of Customer and Supplier Negotiated Agreements.  This role would support intradepartmental collaborations and lead mid to large projects from the business perspective. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

  • Provides daily direction and support to Commercial Services staff including:
    • Provide agreement expertise, guidance in system use, troubleshooting support, and issue escalation
    • Ensures price rule compliance with Sysco contracts
    • Delegate work and coordinates activities of staff members
    • Oversee and ensures quality and timeliness of activities required to update ensure accurate pricing
    • Serve as a point of customer or supplier pricing inquiry or dispute escalation
    • Other initiatives as assigned
  • Leads Pricing and Agreement Team change management efforts to transition Sysco operating companies to use of Sysco Business Services Agreement services:
    • Support the preparation of operating companies for use of shared services (e.g. standardize price rules)
    • Execute Pricing and Agreement conversion and validation strategy and approach
  • Coordinates other Sysco key senior leadership stakeholders as appropriate (e.g., Sysco Sales Force, SBS Finance, SBS Support Center, Sysco Corporate, BT)

Process Management & Driving Results

  • Oversee development and implementation of metrics reporting to track accuracy and identify areas of improvement.
  • Drive implementation of efficiencies, new processes, and technology changes to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Leads team efforts to identify improvement opportunities and continuously improve Sysco profitability & accuracy
  • Develop, improve, and implement customer programs and contract administrative processes.
  • Make decisions and give guidance pertaining to technology, processes related to customer agreements

Project Work:

  • Collaborate with other Sysco organizations as appropriate (e.g., Sysco Sales Force, SBS Finance, SBS Support Center, Sysco Corporate, BT)
  • Facilitate and monitor technical development projects and process developments in response to the identification of process and technology gaps.
  • Provide expertise and business requirement to all BT and automation driven enhancements
  • Manage special projects and duties as assigned

Escalation Management

  • Develops and applies knowledge and expertise on customer pricing processes with Sysco systems and effectively resolves related incidents and issues.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis
  • Serves as a point of escalation for complex and unique inquiries and problems that cannot be resolved through the standard troubleshooting steps. 
  • Serve as a point of customer or supplier pricing inquiry or dispute escalation

People Management

  • Drive recruiting, staffing, training and onboarding processes
  • Assist with employee goal setting and completes performance evaluations for assigned staff
  • Oversee team time management and scheduling processes
  • Perform other supervisory responsibilities as appropriate
  • Ensures and creates documentation for ongoing training and development of staff
  • Lead remote Sysco and 3rd group seamlessly as part of organization

Oversight of Compliance:

  • Oversight of process monitoring focused on compliance guidelines.  
  • Manage and ensure compliance of processes and policies put in place for the accrual, calculations, and payments of customer rebates. 
  • Oversight of compliance with all internal controls and proper documentation requirements.  Mindful of how changes in technology or processes might impact those controls.
  • Oversight of all manually calculated accruals and payments. 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or Analytical Field OR 7 years Sysco experience with proven track record of process improvement or people management success

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of work experience with emphasis on areas such as reporting development, financial planning and analysis, accounting background, and/or financial modeling.  Related analytical experience sufficient to successfully oversee and lead the essential functions of the job AND 3+ years of proven leadership experience

Experience Preferred:

  • Proven leadership skills preferred

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of Master Distribution Agreements and other customer contracts
  • Understanding of supply chain distribution processes
  • Understanding of contract compliance standards
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Sysco's FAMM guidelines regarding agreement requirements. 
  • Basic computer proficiency
