JOB PURPOSE:

This Assistant Director of Community Engagement will be responsible for leading the community outreach team and events for CenterLight’s corporate entity and other affiliated entities. This position will be responsible for partnering with key business leaders and coordinating the full spectrum of strategic marketing engagement activities to generate growth through referral source network building; developing lead-optimization strategies, plan education; and develop community engagement events to proliferate increased awareness, advocacy, and strategic partnerships with referral sources. This position will be focused building strategic relationships with, senior centers, senior housing, community-based organizations, community leaders, faith-based organizations, physician groups/IPAs (duals), social workers, and discharge planners surrounding our PACE centers and Alternative Care Sites (ACS). The Assistant Director of Community Engagement will lead the coordination of events in the community, host events at our PACE centers/ACS, and join network groups to create engagement opportunities with referral sources, prospective enrollees, and their caregivers. This position will integrate with the Business Development, Intake/Enrollment, Provider Relations, Marketing, Care Delivery Teams and other CenterLight entities to ensure all referrals and enrollments are processed in a timely manner and that all activities/events are compliant with state, federal, and PACE regulatory requirements. The Assistant Director of Community Engagement is expected to maintain ethical conduct and will be responsible for the quality and satisfaction of prospective participants, caregivers, and referral sources.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase brand awareness of CenterLight PACE by educating community leaders, providers, referral sources, prospective participants/caregivers, and other audiences on PACE program benefits, identifying differentiators from other healthcare options and isolating key value propositions in relation to audience group and specific needs.
  • Administer the development and implementation of community outreach programs and initiatives.
  • Provide program education through lectures, presentations, events, meetings, or other necessary communications with community and business stakeholders to facilitate referral generation.
  • Lead the internal/external events and the community outreach team in identifying appropriate events, community partners, or other resources and opportunities to educate the community.
  • Develop and assign strategic relationships, ensure continuous and effective communication with contacts, and respond to all inquiries, requests, and referrals timely.
  • Collaborate with other departments positioning the mobile health unit/vehicles at events with team.
  • Work with the site directors and therapeutic recreation department on site events/tours to grow the sites.
  • Train, support and analyze growth initiatives through community outreach and market engagement activities.
  • Closely follow and track all generated referrals and conversions.
  • Develop processes and job functions necessary to support and meet business goals.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to review goals, trends, and performance measures and to facilitate needed changes.
  • Direct, manage and train staff. Engage in staff development and develop training materials for staff’s continuing education.
  • Meet target and goals set forth by CenterLight.
  • Consistently measure and evaluate individual performance and effectiveness, leading to continuous improvement in outreach efforts to maximize referral opportunities.
  • Maintain and generate reports to measure performance and quality of work set by the department.
  • Document all interactions and outcomes in the designated data management/electronic record system.
  • Research market competitors, and services areas.  
  • Work with the marketing team as needed in the development of promotional messaging and marketing collateral, as well as advising the team regarding public relations and other opportunities to increase awareness of CenterLight PACE in the community.
  • Oversee handouts/packets with approved marketing materials.
  • Assisting in developing and managing business development budget for events, networking, collateral materials, and giveaways.
  • Create messaging for social media posted by the marketing department.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable CMS, DOH, and PACE-specific guidelines, including organizational and departmental standard operating procedures and policies and procedures. Ensure to maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and PACE marketing regulations.
  • Participate with quality improvement projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Same responsibilities above with all affiliated entities.

Schedule: 8:30AM – 5:30PM

Weekly Hours: 40

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2+) years of work experience in healthcare business development; preferably with MLTC, MAP, or PACE programs and/or homecare.
  • Knowledge of community-based long-term care services to a dual-eligible and frail adult population.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience utilizing CRM or other database platforms/tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook required; Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge of PACE program benefits a plus.
  • Highly organized and flexible to meet submission deadlines.
  • Hold driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Experience in working independently without significant oversight and or direction from a supervisor.

Additional Requirements:

  • Written and verbal fluency in a secondary language required.
  • Must be a skilled public speaker, willing and comfortable to present in front of audiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements with respect to health care eligibility, coverage, and services of various public programs a plus.
  • Knowledge with healthcare organizations and general population dynamics within the greater New York Metropolitan region is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the greater NYC metropolitan region (80% of the time).
  • Positive attitude and outlook with the ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
  • Works inside at office locations and outside in varied weather conditions in all areas of the community, using private or public means of transportation.

Physical Requirements

Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Standing – Duration of up to 6 hours a day.
  • Sitting/Stationary positions – Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.
  • Lifting/Push/Pull – Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the scope of the job using OSHA guidelines, etc.
  • Bending/Squatting – Have to be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.
  • Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas.
  • Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools to complete essential job functions (i.e. typing, use of supplies, equipment, etc.)
  • Sight/Visual Requirements – Must be able to visually read documentation, papers, orders, signs, etc., and type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy.
  • Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, co-workers, clients, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, they must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.
  • Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

Salary Range (Min-Max):

$115,000.00 - $125,000.00
