Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to act as a key contributor in architecting, developing plans, design changes, and improving windows-based, on premise and Azure infrastructure processes and procedures.  In this role, you will continuously looks for ways to find tools to build new solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions using PowerShell automation and infrastructure as code principles

• Manage and optimize Active Directory and VMware environments using best practices and industry standards

• Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT infrastructure with business needs and requirements

• Analyzes system requirements for existing systems to ensure they offer adequate security and meet business needs

• Recommends alternative technologies or improvements to enhance information systems to support business

• Performs server and server workloads implementations, integrations, and migrations

• Leads design and review of new systems by developing the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any new software

• Creates detailed plans of new systems architecture which includes logistical plans for the operational areas to conduct the physical integrations

• Evaluates projects after a new system has been integrated by participating in evaluating the success of the project, identifying best practices and lessons learned

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT infrastructure issues and incidents

• Document and update IT infrastructure processes, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience

• At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or architecture, with a focus on PowerShell automation and infrastructure as code

• Certifications in PowerShell, Active Directory, VMware, or related technologies are preferred

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, or PowerShell Universal (Ironman Software Platform)

• Expert knowledge of Active Directory and VMware administration and configuration

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, such as networking, security, cloud, virtualization, storage, and backup

• Web server and application server administration experience

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
