Job Description:

The Red Cross supports a variety of cultural and community resource groups for employees and volunteers. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and manage telephone inquiries from blood donors, tele recruitment staff, and regional blood collection staff regarding donor eligibility and concerns. 

  • Respond to and manage email inquiries regarding donor eligibility and concerns

  • May assist with donor investigations. 

  • May assist with donor deferral entry into the database.   

  • Perform other related duties as necessary to maintain the team workflow.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 2:30 PM- 11PM & Friday 1:00 PM- 9:00 PM

Pay Information:  The salary for this position is $15.76/ hr. + Shift Differential (+$1.75 after 3pm, +$2.75 on weekends)

  • Provide appropriate care for donors reporting complications from their donation.

  • Take appropriate and timely product action in response to additional information provided. The Red Cross supports a variety of cultural and community resource groups for employees and volunteers. WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.   

  • Associate Degree in Science or health care field is preferred.   

  • Minimum three years of related customer service experience is preferred.  

  • Prior medical terminology and medical background experience preferred.   

  • The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate at the high school to college-level is required.  

  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required.
