The Diablo IV team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Game Producer to ensure project goals are met through effective communication and organization. In this role, you will support the Gameplay Engineering team - creating and managing project schedules, mentoring junior producers involved in the pipeline, ensuring ongoing cross-discipline communication, and collaborating with team leads on decision-making across multiple initiatives. Constant communication with the team and leadership is crucial, as is seeking opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY.

Stuff We Will Trust You With

Using your prior experience in game development and keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts, you will oversee multi-disciplinary game features and teams with an emphasis on delivering results at the highest quality. Self-direction and follow-up skills are necessary. Excellent communication and project management skills are critical. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the completion of project goals and facilitate communication, organization, and accountability across a multi-discipline development team
  • Manage the development pipeline of an engineering team through day-to-day tasking and scheduling to support game features and initiatives
  • Think and execute strategically on short and long term project priorities, dependencies, and conflicts
  • Anticipate production issues and remove roadblocks or bottlenecks that may prevent developers from achieving their goals on time
  • Communicate frequently with producers as well as with team leadership regarding project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Help provide data and information for leadership to make informed decisions on development priorities and resources
  • Seek out ways to improve the processes, tooling, and relationships around you, and work with others to execute on your ideas

Requirement

  • 2+ years of game production experience
  • Able to build, track, and maintain complex schedules
  • Knowledge of software development process, project management, and production processes
  • Comfortable with ambiguity but with an ability to drive towards clarity
  • Able to collaborate with other producers and work with team leads to align priorities
  • Able to proactively communicate while identifying the right audience with appropriate tone, clarity and timing

Extra Points

  • Proven experience managing schedules and developers to achieve desired results.
  • Agile development experience and/or Scrum certifications.
  • Bachelor of Art or Science in a technical field (or equivalent).
  • Shipped at least one AAA game in production role.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
