About the Role
This position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic, highly competent and versatile leader to support the strategic growth of the Introba Australia business. With a focus on business development, and growth, the candidate should be passionate about innovation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. The Business Development and Growth Leader is responsible for business development and sales activities, supporting the Australian Leadership Team (ALT) with strategic planning, and supporting market growth at Introba Australia. They will ensure that the firm’s vision, core values and mission are effectively communicated to our clients and partners through our proposals and other marketing, communication and sales activities.
The Business Development and Growth Leader will work closely with the Leadership team to consolidate existing and develop new clients and services, improve our systems to follow the corporate growth and structure of the business. The role will keep current with industry trends with a view to identifying new business opportunities suitable for the practice and to make initial contact to introduce the firm’s expertise. The Business Development and Growth Leader will assist in representing Introba at corporate engagements for ongoing business development.

The Role:
Spearhead all phases of the sales process, from meticulously identifying potential prospects to crafting tailored sales strategies, and working with the ALT determine the most suitable company representative (Principal/PM) for pursuing opportunities.
Collaborate closely with Introba’s Principals and Project Managers (PMs) to orchestrate a comprehensive client engagement program, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of efforts.
Manage client interactions and relationships, diligently updating CRM systems to reflect both new prospects and ongoing client activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Drive sales performance by maintaining an active pipeline, exceeding targets, and identifying new revenue streams through proactive networking.
Formulate tailored strategies to attract and secure high-value clients, leveraging a deep understanding of client needs and industry trends to effectively position the company's offerings.
Establish and nurture relationships at various organizational levels to exert influence on key decision-makers, cultivating strategic partnerships that drive business objectives forward.
Continuously monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) pertinent to the Business Development function, leveraging insights to refine strategies, optimize performance, and drive sustained growth.
Build the Introba brand strategy for Introba by identifying the product positioning, objective and key messages
Leverage capabilities of others in the pursuit of business development by involving them with client deliverables, presentations, estimates, etc.
Ensure the highest quality of proposal writing and presentation of all proposals is being carried out by our staff
Ensure compliance with our bid governance.
The role may also include some utilisation on key projects and key client accounts.
Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of work related experience
Consulting Engineering or a related Engineering or Technical Discipline in the building services / sustainability field across multiple sectors
Professional experience in Marketing or related discipline is preferred
Superior communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
General understanding of the Building Services industry and the Professional Services field
An established relevant professional network is highly preferred
Demonstrated effectiveness and the ability to work in a high-performance environment
Ability to train, motivate and supervise staff
Must be results-oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment in order to produce excellent documentation
Fiscal responsibility for the Sales and BD budget, with analytical ability and cost-benefit analysis. Provide input to the budget, manage spending within the approved budget, and provide analysis of the outcome of spending, i.e. growth, revenue, new clients, etc.
Excellent leadership and team management
Understands commercial/contract terms and negotiation strategy for selling integrated design services
Travel and working outside of regular office hours may be required
