About the Role

The Senior Director of E&G Field Services – Federal Government will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of all Professional Services business development activities for a team of field services executives in the Workday Government organization. You will be a key team member of the Workday Customer Experience team, working alongside the Workday sales team, driving Workday subscription sales in the Federal Government sector and driving Services Revenue for Workday Professional Services. This position will focus on Federal Government prospects and customers in the U.S.

The role’s primary responsibility is to leverage your experience in consulting sales and project delivery to help customers and prospects understand how to successfully deploy Workday and to position work for Workday Professional Services.  Your team will be required to be an expert in Workday’s innovative deployment methodology and work closely with Workday services partners to help them plan successful projects and successfully deliver and grow their business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts, and closed deals to ensure above quota results based on successful pipeline management
  • Hire, develop, evaluate, and retain a group of Services sales executives and professionals
  • Align with regional sales leaders and teams to determine services strategy for customers and prospects and drive the professional services business. This includes but not limited to active participation on strategic opportunities to help ensure subscription goals are met
  • Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs so you can effectively position the value of Workday’s innovative deployment methodology and professional services
  • Coordinate with Delivery, Product and Legal on sales opportunities and issue resolution
  • Provide executive guidance to our partners and Workday Professional Services to ensure successful Workday deployments
  • Manage customer escalations
  • Establish a trusted adviser relationship that works to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Leverage customer relationships as needed for prospect references
  • Define customer strategies for pre-defined account portfolios
  • Manage executive, mid-level, and project relationships among a diverse set of customers

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years business and / or implementation consulting and/or subscription sales experience with Cloud SaaS/ ERP Human Capital Management and/or Financial Management solutions
  • Proven success and vertical familiarity (15+ years) within consulting or software-as-a-service
  • Relevant (10+ years) Federal and/or State & Local Government industry experience
  • Experience (10+ years) building and managing a consulting, sales, or in-house services sales organization

  • Strong management, business, and negotiation skills
  • Proven multi-year track record of advancing strategic initiatives
  • Possess excellent organization skills with a strong focus on attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in a high change, fast-paced, high-intensity deadline-oriented work environment
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills along with content development skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with executives
  • Proven ability to align across corporate functions
  • Ability to understand and effectively explain the benefits of a SaaS architecture
  • Project delivery experience
  • Strong knowledge of vendors, products, and services in enterprise application space
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
