This position functions within Allegion’s Global Data & Analytics Team. This role is strategically designed to support existing Data & Analytics initiatives of the Data Engineering Team. This role will be responsible for creating the solution architecture that enables Allegion to consume and analyze data at scale. This role will collaborate with the entire Global Data & Analytics Team, designing, and rolling out technical solutions in alignment with Team Architecture Best Practices. 

  What You Will Do

• Design and Architecture: Develop and implement scalable data architecture solutions on Azure, ensuring they support high availability, disaster recovery, and security requirements.
• Data Integration and ETL: Build and manage ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or similar tools to integrate data from various sources, including on-premises and cloud systems.
• Collaboration and Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with global data team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective ELT designs and implementations.
• Data Querying and Modeling: Use T-SQL to query data from multiple sources and create semantic models for reporting across business functions.
• Dashboard Development: Implement and monitor best-in-class PowerBI dashboards to enable scalable data analysis and support business decision-making.
• Data Governance and Quality: Implement data governance and quality processes to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Agile Practices: Leverage agile methodologies to implement and document repeatable processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Coordination and Accuracy: Work with source-system and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across business units.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for global data assets and deployed solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data solutions, processes, and best practices.

What You Need to Succeed

• 8+ Years of experience in Data Analytics and Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology
• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
• ETL and Data Tools: Proficiency with ETL tools and processes, and experience with SQL Server Databases.
• Data Modeling and Analytics: Knowledge of data modeling techniques and experience creating analytics measures using DAX or similar frameworks.
• PowerBI Expertise: Experience in creating data assets and dashboards in PowerBI or Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent skills to work effectively with cross-functional and globally co-located teams.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
• Agility and Adaptability: Ability to execute and deliver with an agile/iterative approach, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as required.
• Time Management: Be self-motivated, highly organized, and possess good time management skills.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Capable of leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends.
