Key responsibilities include:

  • carrying out general repairs as required within and the exterior of the facility
  • Carrying out repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, motor controls, pump seals, and motor bearings
  • Welding and fabricating
  • preventative maintenance
  • Monitoring and maintaining two high pressure boilers and 2 low pressure boilers
  • general upkeep of the facility in a 24/7 steam & refrigeration plant
  • troubleshoot and repair industrial kitchen equipment

Qualifications:

  • Must have a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance tech working on electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, commercial kitchen equipment, trouble shooting electrical faults and motor controls required

The role of Maintenance Tech encompasses the following criteria:

Job Specific Requirements:

Previous maintenance experience is an asset

Capable to Work Under pressure,

Knowledge of HACCP procedures,

Good communications skills, written, reading, speaking

Willing to work shift work 24 hours / 7days, team player

Needs to be mechanically inclined

Knowledge in Electrical, plumbing, welding, troubleshooting, refrigeration / HVAC is an asset

Our Employees Must Be Able to:

Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays

Work Overtime when required

Follow written specifications directions

Good communication skills reading/ writing

Complete paperwork

Communicate with Supervisors and co-workers

Follow directions

Work as a member of a team

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Must hold in good standing valid 4th or 5th class Power Engineering Certificate

Environmental Requirements:

Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise

Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five(75) pounds

Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours

Compensation: $34.12 gross per hour
