Position Summary:
The Director, International Tax will be a key player in our day-to-day tax function, working directly with the VP of Tax overseeing the company's global tax strategy, compliance, and reporting, specializing in cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and minimizing worldwide tax burdens. The Director, International Tax will ensure compliance with foreign and domestic tax laws, manage Pillar Two regulations, and advise on M&A tax implications. Key duties include maintaining US international tax calculations (e.g., GILTI, Subpart F, FDDEI, Sec. 987), leading tax planning and M&A integration initiatives, and performing tax research to support the business. Essential Functions:
Develop and execute the company’s international tax strategy in alignment with overall business goals
Lead cross-border tax planning initiatives, including entity structuring, supply chain optimization, IP planning, and financing strategies
Analyze the tax impact of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and global expansion initiatives
Monitor global tax developments (e.g., OECD initiatives, BEPS 2.0, Pillar Two) and assess impact on the organization
Support foreign income tax filings as needed
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of international components of the consolidated tax provision under ASC 740 or IFRS
Identify and mitigate international tax risks across jurisdictions
Lead responses to foreign tax authority inquiries, audits, and examinations
Collaborate with Legal, Treasury, Finance, and Corporate Development to support transactions and operational initiatives
Implement best practices and leverage tax technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Key decision maker as part of the tax leadership team
Owns US international calculations for planning, provision, and return support purposes
Develops and implements tax efficient repatriation strategies
Assists in devising tax government audit strategies
Coordinates with colleagues in Finance and IT to streamline and improve processes
Assists with special projects as requested by senior management
Provides tax technical guidance to tax operating team including but not limited to US international tax
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, can do attitude
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
10-15 years of multinational corporate income tax experience, either in public accounting or in-house corporate tax department, US domestic and international tax, M&A, tax accounting, and/or Transfer Pricing knowledge is required, worldwide and/or state & local tax knowledge is a plus
Well organized, detail-oriented team player capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment
Strong functional knowledge of MS Excel
Strong communication skills
CPA, JD or Masters in Tax a plus
