Works under supervision of an Associate Professor who is the Primary Investigator on multiple grant funded projects. Oversees the day-to-day activities of scheduling, organizing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative research including interviews and focus groups. Performs a variety of research activities including developing data collection tools, assisting with any necessary compliance issues (such as Institutional Review Board and Data Transfer User Agreements), and supports and participates in academic efforts derived from the project including literature reviews and manuscript drafting.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

  • Performs a variety pf research, datebase, and processing, as well as clerical duties in support of project to assist Primary Investigator in orgainzing, gathering, and compiling research data.
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of scheduling, organizing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative research including interviews and focus groups. 
  • Informs Prinicipal Investigator and/or designated individual on any issues concerning data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
  • Provides clerical and technical support to ensure adherence to research protocols and quality of information received.

Qualitative research methods and experience

Public Health graduate training (MPH)

Excellent research skills and written ability

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Includes High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (Specify field). Also includes Schools like Medical Assistant, etc. NO listings like Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. 

Experience: Only years of experience in a particular setting, e.g. “5 years of experience in a doctor’s office required.”

Master Degree in Public Health required
