Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has openings for a Tool Crib Attendant 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Palmdale, CA.

Receives, stores, and issues tools, support equipment, consumables, HAZMAT, and other related items. Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure. Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED with 2 or more years of experience in customer service, tool crib, or minor tool repair, manufacturing experience.

  • Must be willing to work any shift, to support operations and work any program.

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to work standing up for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds above head at any time.

  • Must be able to push/pull 50-100 pound.

  • Must be able to manipulate body to get into small areas to work on toolboxes.

  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs.

  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.

  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. 

  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

  • Must be detail oriented, teamwork oriented, and have a strong work ethic.

  • Must be able to learn and follow established processes and procedures.

  • Familiar with data entry, and proficient using digital scanners for tool control & inventory.

  • Familiar with maintaining records and providing traceability of materials.

  • Ability to travel 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Familiar with Inventory control practices

  • Active special program access

  • Experience with CribMaster program

  • Experience with tool kitting

  • Inventory organization

  • Able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required.

  • Able to use vibrating tools and perform torquing operations, including hand tools & power equipment.

  • 1 year Manufacturing Experience.

Salary Range: $44,600.00 - $74,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
